BRUNSWICK — Mary G. Daniels, age 69, of Deerfield Drive, died Monday, May 6, 2013, at Mid Coast Hospital. She was born on August 17, 1943 in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Vernon Lee and Violet Goebel Goodrich.

Mary retired after 30 years as an elementary school teacher in Prince George’s County, Maryland’s public schools.

After spending 18 years as a summer visitor, Mary and Bob returned to Maine as year–long residents in 2006, and settled in Brunswick.

Mary was an avid reader of mystery novels and enjoyed the daily completion of several crossword puzzles.

Mary and Bob were season ticket holders for the Maine State Music Theater productions, and she looked forward to each play every summer.

She is survived by her loving partner Robert Anthony Cecil of Brunswick, a proud mother of two sons, Frank C. Daniels and wife Jennifer of Marietta, GA and Matthew A. Daniels and wife Kate of Parker, CO, loving grandmother (to whom she was known as Gran) of Michael P. Brian M. and Kevin C. Daniels all of Marietta, GA, and Elizabeth H. and Alexander C. Daniels both of Parker, CO. Also surviving are a sister Margaret G. Barry and her husband Thomas (Esq.) of Concord, New Hampshire, loving aunt to Julia E. Barry, Esq. of San Diego, CA, and Johanna E. Barry of Chicago, Il.

A memorial service will be held later in Laurel, Maryland to celebrate Mary’s life.
