HANOVER, N.H. — A Dartmouth College rugby player from Great Britain has been charged with raping a female student, and police suspect there is at least one additional victim.

Hanover police said 20-year-old Parker Gilbert, a freshman from London, was arrested Thursday and charged with four counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault. His arrest followed a complaint from a female student who said she was attacked after Gilbert entered her unlocked dorm room early on the morning of May 2.

Police said they have reason to suspect that at least one other woman was recently attacked by Gilbert, who is being held on $75,000 bail.

He could not be reached for comment. Police said he did not yet have a lawyer.

Dartmouth College said it does not comment on ongoing criminal investigations.
