SOUTH BERWICK – Kim Hussey beat a throw to the plate to score the go-ahead run in the fourth inning and Marshwood went on to a 7-3 victory against Noble in an SMAA softball game Wednesday.

The Hawks (8-5-1) took a 3-0 lead in the first on RBI singles by Sammy Crosman, Micki Bosse and Kaylah Abdul. Noble (11-4) tied it with three runs in the top of the fourth.

Nicole Harvie pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts and three walks for Marshwood.


WESTBROOK 9, BONNY EAGLE 4: Allie Lemay hit a three-run triple in the first inning, then ended the game with two innings of one-hit relief as the Blue Blazes (7-7) defeated Bonny Eagle (9-5-1) at Westbrook.

Emma Berry hit a two-run single in the second to give Westbrook a 5-2 lead.


MASSABESIC 13, MCAULEY 2: Kassidy Hill had three singles and scored twice to lead Massabesic (6-8) over McAuley (1-14) at Portland.


CAPE ELIZABETH 19, FALMOUTH 4: Emma O’Rourke and Mary Perkins each had three hits for the Capers (13-1), who broke a close game open with a 13-run seventh inning to beat the Yachtsmen (7-6) at Falmouth.

O’Rourke capped the inning with a three-run homer to finish with four RBI and four runs. Perkins scored three runs and drove in three.


YARMOUTH 9, FREEPORT 1: McKenzie Gray pitched a three-hitter with seven strikeouts, and also had three hits as the Clippers (7-7) handled the Falcons (5-8) at Yarmouth.

Gray hit a double and two singles, and scored a run.


CAMDEN HILLS 4, LINCOLN ACADEMY 3: Camden Hills (6-8) scored two runs in the top of the eighth inning and held off Lincoln Academy (8-5) at Newcastle.


BIDDEFORD 8, GORHAM 7: Abbie Paquette hit a two-run single to left field during a five-run sixth inning to give the Tigers (10-4) the tying and go-ahead runs against Gorham (5-9) at Biddeford.

Trailing 7-3, substitute Delaney Roy started the rally with a single, her first hit of the year. Katelyn Lebreux later had a two-run double to cut the lead to 7-6.


THORNTON ACADEMY 12, CHEVERUS 2: Bailey Tremblay pitched a four-hitter with seven strikeouts as Thornton Academy (11-3) beat the Stags (6-8) at Portland.

Aurora Connolly led the Trojans with two hits, two runs and two RBI. Aleisha Cross added two hits, two RBI and a run.


SANFORD 12, KENNEBUNK 4: Sanford (9-5) scored seven runs in the first inning and went on to defeat the Rams (5-9) at Kennebunk.

Sam Adams struck out nine and Kelly Tovey homered for the Spartans. Meg Cadigan led the Rams with four hits.


POLAND 13, LAKE REGION 1: Poland (8-5) scored five runs in the fourth inning on the way to a six-inning victory against Lake Region (0-13) at Poland.

Lindsay Theriault and Brittina Maheux hit RBI doubles, and Kylie Martin followed with a two-run single in the fourth. Maheux finished with two triples, a double and a single, and Martin had four singles.


SCARBOROUGH 15, WINDHAM 0: Alyssa Williamson pitched a five-inning no-hitter, striking out nine, as Scarborough (13-1) beat the Eagles (5-10) at Windham.

The Red Storm, ahead 5-0 after two innings, put the game away with a 10-run third keyed by Marisa O’Toole’s two-run double.


GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 4, WELLS 3: Zoe Adams had three hits, including a go-ahead solo homer in the sixth for the Patriots (9-5) against the Warriors (7-7) at Gray.

Adams hit a two-run single in the fourth as the Patriots went ahead 3-0.


WAYNFLETE 16, YARMOUTH 10: Sadie Cole scored seven goals and Martha Veroneau added six for Waynflete (9-0) against Yarmouth (5-5) at Portland.

Veroneau added two assists and Cole had two.


SANFORD 13, DEERING 5: Caroline L’Heureux scored six goals to lead the Spartans (2-9) against Deering (3-8) at Sanford.


MT. ARARAT 14, LINCOLN ACADEMY 2: Carly Raymond scored four times to lead nine goal scorers for Mt. Ararat (6-5) against Lincoln Academy (0-10) at Topsham.


MORSE 21, EDWARD LITTLE 11: Ruth Nadeau scored eight goals and Sadia Crosby added six for Morse (6-4), which built a 12-4 halftime lead and beat Edward Little (4-7) at Bath.
