BOSTON — F-15 fighter jets from the 104th Fighter Wing in Massachusetts are scheduled to participate in an exercise over the northern part of the state, as well as parts of Maine and New Hampshire.

Practice scramble maneuvers are being held Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The exercise also includes training with the Civil Air Patrol.

Such exercises are conducted to ensure the Massachusetts Air National Guard is prepared to defend the Northeast airspace against any airborne threat.
