Steve had the good sense to marry his wife, Joann of Freeport, in 1965 and they had two children. Steve was a man who enjoyed working, not only as a machinist at BIW for 37 years, but also on his farm as a “hobby” and true to form he “loved” his John Deere tractors. Steve enjoyed other interests like mountain climbing (Katahdin six times), white water canoeing, camping and simply traveling — once, all the way to Alaska (before deciding to turn around).
Steve is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joann Walker of Bowdoinham; his son Steven and his wife Penny of South Portland and their children Skye and Brooke; his daughter Sherry and her husband
Paul of Bowdoinham and their children Aaron and Brynne and Aaron’s son Ethan; his brother-in-law Daniel and his son Daniel; his brother-in-law David and his wife Julie; his brotherin law Paul and his wife Carol; sister-inlaw Jane; as well as a large extended family of cousins and wonderful friends. He was predeceased by his sister Constance.
