BRUNSWICK — Arthur L. Smith, age 75, died at a local hospital Wednesday, July 3, 2013.

He was born June 27, 1938 in Phippsburg, Maine, a son of Arthur M. and Mina Dunning Smith. He attended Phippsburg schools. He married Natalie Yates on June 21, 1958, in Bowdoinham.

Mr. Smith was employed at BIW for 39 years. After leaving BIW in 1995, he became a bus driver for SAD #75 until his retirement in 2007.

He was a member of the Brunswick Church of the Nazarene. He found enjoyment in watching stock car racing, his daily lottery scratch tickets, and horse racing. He was always grateful for his time with family and friends, especially his time with his two grandsons.

He was predeceased by a sister, Marion Woodward.

He is survived by his wife, Natalie of Brunswick; a son, Chuck Smith and his wife Sheree of Brunswick; a brother, Sherman Smith and his wife Gail of Bowdoinham; two grandsons, Cody and Cameron of Brunswick.
