MANCHESTER, N.H. — A New Hampshire police officer didn’t have to travel farther than the Manchester police station parking lot to make a drug arrest.

Manchester police say officer Derek Cataldo was pulling out of the parking lot at police headquarters when he saw a man drive by on Hayward Street holding a book up to his chin in one hand and a straw in the other.

When Cataldo pulled over 24-year-old Stephen Bolser of Manchester he noticed Bolser had white powder on his shirt and a ring of white powder around one nostril.

Cataldo found three pills in Bolser’s pocket. They were tentatively identified as Adderal – a prescription stimulant.

Bolser was charged with possession of a controlled substance. It could not immediately be determined if he had a lawyer.
