AUGUSTA (AP) — Maine’s attorney general says the top consumer complaint in the state revolves around car sales.
That’s according to a list released by Attorney General Janet Mills of the top 10 consumer complaints in the past year.
The second-top complaint involved sweepstakes, prize promotions and similar types of scams, followed by complaints about landlord-tenant disputes.
Other top complaint categories included home repair and construction services; furniture and appliance sales; satellite TV sales and services; and telecommunications slamming, where charges are added to bills without authorization.
