Haddock dinner – Saturday, Aug. 31, 5 p.m., Living Waters Church, 197 Parker Farm Road, (at the intersection of routes 112 and 22 by Plummer’s Market), Buxton. Haddock dinner including haddock, and assorted casseroles, salads, veggies, desserts and beverages. $8, $4.

Public supper – Saturday, Sept. 7, 5-6 p.m., West Gorham Union Church, Route 25 (3 miles west of Gorham Village), Gorham. Three kinds of beans, hot dogs, chicken pie, American chop suey, casseroles, salads, delicious homemade pies, coffeee, and punch. No one leaves hungry. Ticket sales begin at 4 p.m. $7.50, $3.

Bean supper – Saturday, Sept. 7, 5 and 6 p.m., Prides Corner Church, 235 Pride St., Westbrook. Beans, ham, macaroni & cheese, cole slaw, Italian bread, homemade pies and beverages. $8, $5.

Roast beef supper – Saturday, Sept. 7, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., Scarborough Lions Den, 273 Gorham Road, Scarborough. $9, $4.

Bean supper – Saturday, Sept. 7, 4:30-6 p.m., Hollis Lions Club, intersection routes 202 and 35, Hollis. Baked beans, hot dogs, chop suey and desserts. $8, $3.

Benefit dinner and silent auction – Saturday Sept. 7, 5-7 p.m., Blue Point Congregational Church UCC, 236 Pine Point Road, Scarborough. To benefit church member Jeremy LaBelle of Gorham, 37, who is battling cancer and will undergo stem cell transplant at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston on Sept. 9. Barbecue dinner prepared by the award winning competition team from Portland Barbacoa and will include pork, salads, corn and dessert. $10.
