BRUNSWICK — Rodney “Bud” J. Wright, 81, of Stone Street, died Saturday, September 21, 2013, at V.A. Maine Health Care in Augusta.

He was born in Brunswick on December 25, 1931, a son of Ralph E. Sr. and Ella M. (Condon) Wright.

He attended Bath schools and graduated from Morse High School in the class of 1951. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, receiving a Bronze Star. He was owner of Wrights Electric as a master electrician for over 40 years in the Mid-coast area.

He was a member of the South Gardiner Congregational Church and active in many projects at the church. He was also a member of the VFW Post 9 in Gardiner and of the American Legion in Topsham and Brunswick.

He is survived by one son, Rodney D. Wright and his wife Lori of North Bath, one daughter, Ella M. Knight of Kennebunk, one brother, Ralph E. Wright Jr. and his wife Katherine of Windsor, CT, four grandchildren, Heaven Wing, Storm Knight, Alexandra Wright and Damen Lamarre.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013, with military honors at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High Street, Bath. Scattering of ashes will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath.
