BRUNSWICK — Most of the 9,000 books that once were part of the libraries at Jordan Acres and Hawthorne Elementary schools now have been absorbed into the Coffin Elementary School library’s shelves.

There still remain many duplicates and wornout books “which no longer fit the schools’ needs,” said Superintendent Paul Perzanoski.

Many of them will be marked for sale at the Coffin School’s annual Harvest Festival. The ones that remain will be donated to Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program, Tedford Shelters and Goodwill Industries.
