Trial resumes for woman charged in husband’s death
BANGOR — A neuropsychologist says a woman on trial for using pliers, a box cutter and a plastic baseball bat to kill her husband is at times not in touch with reality.
Dr. Richard Doiron is testifying Monday in the trial of Roxanne Jeskey, who’s accused of killing Richard Jeskey on June 12, 2011, in a jealous rage. Roxanne Jeskey is using an insanity defense.
WZON-AM reports that Doiron said Jeskey is “brain injured in a significant way.” He says her brain injury, post-traumatic stress and psychotic disorders all played a role at the time of her husband’s death.
His body, which was naked, was found in a bathtub the following day. The medical examiner said he was beaten and strangled.
