Portland police are investigating a robbery reported late Sunday at a pharmacy at Westgate Shopping Center on Congress Street.

Shortly before 7 p.m., a man entered the CVS and approached the register. He handed an employee a note demanding money. The man then threatened the employee verbally, according to police, and left the pharmacy with an undisclosed amount of cash. A weapon was not displayed during the robbery.

Police describe the robber as a black man with thin mustache, 30 to 35 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. The robber wore a dark baseball cap, black sunglasses, a dark gray fleece jacket and blue jeans.

Police are asking anyone with information about this robbery to contact investigators at 874-8575.
