FRYEBURG — Michael McDevitt scored 22 points and Greely used a big fourth quarter Tuesday night to pull away from Fryeburg Academy for a 45-32 victory in a Western Maine Conference schoolboy basketball game.
Conner Hanley added 12 points for the Rangers (14-1), who used an 18-5 run in the fourth quarter to break away from a 27-27 tie through the third.
Ryan Gullickson led Fryeburg (7-8) with 13 points.
FALMOUTH 81, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 49: Nick Burton scored 20 points to lead the Yachtsmen (14-1) past the Patriots (3-12) at Falmouth.
Tom Coyne had 18 points with four 3-pointers and Jack Simonds added 14 points for Falmouth. Samuel Johnson led Gray-New Gloucester with eight points.
BOOTHBAY REGION 59, HALL-DALE 43: John Hepburn scored 19 points and Evan Hepburn added 18 to pace the Seahawks (14-2) over the Bulldogs (8-8) in Farmingdale.
POLAND 57, CAPE ELIZABETH 45: Tyler Michaud and Alan Young scored 17 points each as Poland (7-8) overcame the Capers (10-4) at Cape Elizabeth.
Poland led 36-33 after three quarters, then scored nine of its 21 points in the fourth at the foul line. Eddie Galvin paced Cape with 13 points.
BRUNSWICK 60, SKOWHEGAN 35: Derek Devereaux scored a game-high 13 points to lead a balanced offense as the Dragons (10-5) cruised past Skowhegan (1-14) at Brunswick.
THORNTON ACADEMY 50, WESTBROOK 43: Quinn Richardson-Newton scored seven of his 11 points in the first quarter to lead the Golden Trojans (8-6) past the Blue Blazes (3-12) at Saco.
Kevin Barrett added 12 points for Thornton. Demetrious Hoskins led Westbrook with 18 points.
PORTLAND 64, WINDHAM 39: Jayvon Pitts-Young scored 16 points to lead the Bulldogs (15-0) over the Eagles (6-9) at Portland.
Matt Talbot had 15 points, 12 rebounds and three assists, and Stephen Alex pitched in eight points, six rebounds and four assists for Portland, which built a 31-14 halftime lead.
GORHAM 55, SOUTH PORTLAND 23: Sam Kilborn scored nine of his 18 points in the first quarter as the Rams (7-8) built a 16-5 lead against the Red Riots (6-8) at South Portland.
Billy Ruby and Nick Thibeault each finished with 10 points for Gorham, which extended a 25-12 halftime lead to 44-17 through three quarters.
KENNEBUNK 53, WELLS 46: Jack Lapham finished with 14 points, Nate Gilbert added 13 and Austin Sandler 12 as the Rams (5-10) defeated the Warriors (5-10) at Wells.
Jake Moody led Wells with 23 points and six steals.
SANFORD 63, NOBLE 60: Evyn Nolette scored a career-high 33 points, including seven 3-pointers, as the Spartans (10-5) held off the Knights (8-7) at Sanford.
Nolette scored 17 of Sanford’s 21 fourth-quarter points.
TRAIP ACADEMY 57, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 54: Brian Hippern went 4 of 4 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter as Traip Academy (4-11) held off Old Orchard Beach (10-5) at Kittery.
Colin Macomber led the Rangers with 15 points.
LAKE REGION 87, FREEPORT 54: Nate Smith had 22 points and the Lakers (8-7) made 13 3-pointers against the Falcons (1-14) at Naples.
Smith made three 3-pointers in the first quarter when the Lakers went ahead 24-10. Sam Smith scored 15 of his 17 points in the third quarter, including four 3-pointers.
WISCASSET 66, LISBON 63: Freshman Ethan James scored four points in overtime to lead the Wolverines (9-7) over the Greyhounds (10-6) at Wiscasset.
MEDOMAK VALLEY 72, LEAVITT 48: Nicholas DePatsy scored 17 points and Michael Wadsworth added 15 as Medomak Valley (8-7) defeated Leavitt (3-11) at Waldoboro.
OCEANSIDE 56, MORSE 47: David Gould scored 11 of his game-high 23 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Mariners (13-2) over the Shipbuilders (12-4) at Rockland.
MARSHWOOD 49, MASSABESIC 48: Jack Letellier scored 17 points and Noah McDaniel hit a free throw with one second remaining as the Hawks (6-9) edged Massabesic (4-11) at Waterboro.
With the score 48-48, the Hawks missed four straight free throws. Massabesic then had a shot blocked, resulting in a loose ball at half court. McDaniel, who was 2 of 11 from the line, recovered and was fouled on a half-court shot.
CONY 63, MT. ARARAT 56: The Rams (7-8) used a 15-9 run in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Eagles (7-8) at Augusta.
DEERING 55, BIDDEFORD 51: Liam Densmore and Ahmed Ismail Ahmed each hit key shots down the stretch as the Rams (10-5) rallied past the Tigers (0-16) at Biddeford.
After falling behind 29-24 at halftime, Biddeford went on a 10-0 run at the start of the third quarter and led by two going into the fourth.
HOCKEY
CAPE ELIZABETH 4, KENNEBUNK 1: The Capers (4-8-1) scored three goals in the third period to defeat Kennebunk (7-4-1) at Biddeford.
Eli Breed scored the lone goal of the first period for the Capers. After David Parker tied it in the second, Ben Leahl scored the go-ahead goal at 10:18 of the third. Curtis Guimond added two late goals.
YARMOUTH 8, MARANACOOK/WINTHROP 1: William Jacobs, Dylan Tureff and Robert Murray scored two goals each as the Clippers (7-3-1) beat Maranacook/Winthrop (4-6) at Yarmouth.
David Clemmer and Anders Newburg also scored for Yarmouth.
