Well, here we go again, another family business purchased by an out-of-state giant company (“Maine’s Oakhurst Dairy sold to farmer cooperative,” Feb. 1).
As a former employee of Jordan’s Meats, I can tell you the new owners always say nothing will change.
But it will, if not right away, then sometime in the future.
Just ask the nearly 300 people who worked at Jordan’s, and the 200-plus who have lost jobs at Barber Foods.
