What is it about the word “yield” that people don’t understand?
There have been many times on a main highway or the interstate when people ignore the “yield” sign and just keep coming on into traffic. I’ve even had people blow their horn because I did not stop to let them in.
On an interstate highway, there are times when you can’t move over to the other lane to let another car come in. On a two-lane highway, it’s impossible.
This is so dangerous, and it could cause, and probably has caused, a serious accident.
Please, drivers, pay heed to the “yield” sign when you are approaching a main road.
