BIDDEFORD — The culinary delights of the twin cities will be the focus of Biddeford+Saco Restaurant Week.

Restaurant Week runs March 24-30 and includes specials at area eateries and a chance to win a $75 gift card.

For more information, a list of local specials, or to print out an entry card for the drawing, go to www.biddefordsacorestaurantweek.com.

Engine, Heart of Biddeford and Saco Spirit are offering a $75 gift certificate to one lucky winner who turns in their card at a downtown Biddeford or Saco restaurant during March 24-30 or at a venue during the Biddeford+Saco ArtWalk on Friday, March 28.

Local restaurants are one of the downtown’s greatest assets, and the promotion fits well into the Biddeford and Saco branding campaign, said Heart of Biddeford Executive Director is Delilah Poupore.

“What stands out in our area is good prices and great variety. We are starting to attract specialty restaurants and new chefs,” she said in an email.

Poupore said Saco and Biddeford offer a “huge variety” of ethnic cuisine you would expect to find in much larger cities.

“Feeling like Thai food? Haven’t tried Vietnamese? Enjoy Mexican? You can enjoy those and a lot more in Biddeford and Saco,” said Poupore.

Shilyn Moulton, manager of Bebe’s Burritos on Main Street in Biddeford, noted the number of restaurants in close proximity, and said she thinks the downtown has a lot to offer to those looking to go out to eat.

Moulton said the restaurant is offering two lunch-time specials during the week-long event. She said the restaurant is busy at night, and she’s hoping to attract more people during the day, and hoping people who work downtown who haven’t been to the restaurant discover they can get a good lunch quickly during their lunch break.
