Westbrook police are hoping the public can help identify a woman suspected of stealing a donation jar from the counter of a Dunkin’ Donuts downtown on Wednesday.
The police department released photos of the woman at the counter of the store at 742 Main St., including one in which she appears to be reaching for the jar for donations to Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital.

Police said she took the jar around 11 a.m. Wednesday and left in a maroon, four-door car.
Police are asking that anyone with information about the woman call the department at 854-044 or its anonymous tip line at 591-8117.
