LYMAN — Algena Irene Perry, 92, of Goodwin’s Mills Road, passed away June 1, 2014 at the Southridge Living Center, with her family at her side.

She was born in Plymouth Aug. 18, 1921, the daughter of Algie and Grace Stimpson Hines.

She attended local schools.

Her years of work included Kesslen Shoe in Kennebunk, Bates Manufacturing and Morning Star.

Algena was a longtime resident of Lyman, where she attended the Goodwins Mills United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed snowmobiling, ice fishing, hunting, knitting, her garden, playing cards, canning and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by: her husband of more than 50 years of marriage, Lester Perry, in 1992.

Survivors include: a son, Robert L. Perry of Lyman and his wife Judith; a daughter, Sandra Jordon of Lyman and her husband Jeffery; four grandchildren, Patti, Gannon, Christine and Marissa; six great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Courtney, Caitlyn, Hunter, Jonathan and Ella; and several nephews and nieces.

A graveside service will be held at Goodwin’s Mills at a later date. Rev. Dr. Debra Hanson of the Goodwin’s Mills United Methodist Church will officiate.
