SOUTH PORTLAND (AP) — Police say a man was found dead in a South Portland garage after a standoff.

Police say the man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Monday in the garage of his Memory Lane home. They did not release the name of the man.

A criminal investigation team is still at the scene, but police do not suspect foul play in the death of the man, who was in his 60s.

WMTW-TV reports Memory Lane was blocked to traffic because of the incident. The home is located behind a store on Main Street.
