BIDDEFORD — Robert K. Salls, 76, of Biddeford, passed away on July 13 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

He was born in Marsh-field, Vermont on Oct. 19, 1937, the son of Elwin and Josephine Salls.

Robert attended schools in St. Johnsbury and Lydonville, Vermont, and also in Maine.

A very hard worker all of his life, Robert was employed in various jobs, most recently with Biddeford Textile.

Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army and also served in the National Guard.

He enjoyed NASCAR, old black-and-white movies, and country and western music.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and a brother, Richard.

Survivors include: his partner of many years, Lillian Flanders and her family; a son, Chad Salls; sisters, Irene, Jennie, Chris, Kathy and Melissa; and brothers, Kenneth, Elwin Jr., Donald, Michael and Gordon.

A graveside service with military honors will take place on Monday, July 28 at 1 p.m. at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 83 Stanley Road, Springvale.
