Traffic came to a standstill at 3:52 p.m. Sunday on the Maine Turnpike in Saco when a truck burst into flames.

No one was hurt but northbound traffic was halted while emergency trucks responded to the scene, a state police dispatcher said. The northbound lanes were reopened by 5:30 p.m.

Information about the cause of the fire and other details were not immediately available.
