I am writing to encourage all of you to re-elect Democratic state Sen. John L. Tuttle, candidate for District 33.

All the candidates tell us that they support growth in jobs, but many do not understand how or what is involved in the economy of Maine.

Maine has a strong tradition of hunting, an industry that generates both jobs and revenue for our state. A 2004 economic study showed that bear hunting contributed over $60 million to the Maine economy and supports over 900 jobs.

Sen. Tuttle is a supporter of Maine’s traditional recreational businesses and supports saving Maine’s bear hunt and management programs.

John Tuttle has always been there to help guide the Legislature with sensible support of our industry.

I have known John for over 40 years as he has dedicated a life of service for the betterment of our state.
