AUGUSTA (AP) — Maine Gov. Paul LePage is taking some time off from the campaign trail this weekend to open up his home for the 4th annual Blaine House food drive.

Mainers are invited to drop off non-perishable goods and get a tour of the Blaine House from the governor between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday. The food drive at the governor’s Augusta home will be held on three consecutive Saturdays.

Donations will be sent to the Good Shepherd Food Bank. The food bank decides which communities are the most in need when distributing the food.

Last year, Maine residents gave nearly 2,000 pounds of food to pantries and shelters across the state.
