I am so glad that M.D. Harmon has brought some common sense to the marijuana debate. Just because pot is half as dangerous as alcohol does not mean it is safe.
I work in a school, and some students are salivating over the prospect of getting their hands on this stuff. Even though marijuana is supposed to be limited to those 18 and over, there are also age limits on alcohol and tobacco, and we know how well that works.
I hope the residents of South Portland will think long before casting their vote on the marijuana referendum there.
