PORTLAND — Detectives are continuing to investigate the Nov. 21 fatal shooting of 23-year-old Richard Lobor of Portland, who was killed at 214 Brighton Ave., according to Assistant Police Chief Vern Malloch.

The shooting, considered a homicide, occurred in an apartment at the Princeton Village complex. Police were called at 9:05 p.m. and discovered Lobor dead at the scene. Malloch said Lobor was not a resident of the apartment, and the suspect is believed to have fled the area.

An autopsy at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta on Saturday determined Lobor died from a single gunshot, but police have not revealed where he was shot or the type of weapon that may have been used.

Any information about the homicide can be reported by calling 874-8575 or texting  “Crimes” and the keyword “Gotcha,” Malloch said.
