SOUTH PORTLAND — Old Orchard Beach jumped out to a 22-point halftime lead on its way to a 70-30 win over A.R. Gould in a boys’ basketball game Monday.
Zach Hirst and Eric Hogan each had 10 points to lead the way for Old Orchard Beach, while Evan Christensen had nine points, a game-high 15 rebounds and four assists.
Mouamed Mouamed led A.R. Gould with 10 points, while Keegan Gaouette had seven.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
OCEANSIDE 63, MCI 53: Ashley Gardner scored 20 points for the Mariners (5-2) in their victory over the Huskies (2-5) in Pittsfield.
Emily Gould had 15 points and Makenna Brooks added 13 for Oceanside.
Ashley Alton had 24 points for MCI and Sydney Morton chipped in 12.
OAK HILL 50, WISCASSET 30: Danielle Samson scored 10 points to lead a balanced attack as the Raiders (6-0) beat the Wolverines (3-5) in Wales.
Jamie Prue added nine points for Oak Hill. Colleen Hendricks had 10 points for Wiscasset.
