DURHAM — Kevin Rice, 55, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at his home as the result of a heart attack.

He was born in Bath on Oct. 25, 1959, the youngest of four boys of Henry and Jeannette McLoy Rice and was raised in Woolwich.

Kevin excelled at sports from a young age. As an honor roll student at Morse High School, he played basketball and baseball. He fostered a lifelong passion for music. He played several musical instruments, collected an extensive music collection and played in several bands including local flavor “Mixed Company.”

Kevin is survived by four children, Matt, Brian, Geoff and Kyle; two brothers, John and Scott; and a granddaughter Hattie.

It is said, “It’s easy to be generous when one has a lot, it means more when one hasn’t got.”

A celebration of his life will be held at the Bath Elks Lodge on Tuesday Jan. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m.
