BRUNSWICK — Raymond E. Temple Jr., 60, a resident of Kitt Street in Brunswick, died on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, at Parkview Adventist Medical Center in Brunswick surrounded by his family. He was born on Sept. 10, 1954, in Brunswick, a son of Raymond E. Temple Sr. and Gloria Irene (Gross) Temple. He attended Brunswick schools.

Raymond was employed for 17 years as a paper carrier for the Portland Press Herald and Maine Sunday Telegram. He enjoyed delivering the newspapers to the surrounding area and this was a job he did in conjunction with his wife for many years.

He enjoyed spending time fishing, watching the fireworks in Harpswell, clamming on the local clam flats, smelt fishing with his sons and watching NASCAR with his wife. Raymond was an animal lover and was especially fond of his English bulldog “Jake,” who was his best friend, and his three cats, “Sassy,” “Charlie” and “Bigfoot.”

Besides his parents, Raymond was predeceased by three brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy A. (Bowlus) Temple of Brunswick, two sons, Edward E. Temple of Bath, and Raymond E. Temple III and his wife Stephanie of Bath, three sisters, Irene and her husband Jim Smith of Gardiner, Carolyn Towsley of Hopkinton, N.H., and Clarinda and her husband Ludger Tremblay of Topsham, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
