Former Waynflete girls’ basketball standouts (from left) Martha Veroneau (the 2013 winner of the Miss Maine Basketball award), Margaret Veroneau and Catherine Veroneau helped lead the Boston College women’s club basketball team to a regional title last weekend in Boston. Margaret Veroneau served as the team’s coach, while Martha Veroneau (the tournament’s MVP) and Catherine Veroneau played. BC defeated Assumption, Brown and Harvard, then downed Northeastern in the championship game, 56-45. BC advanced to the National tournament in North Carolina in April.
