A build-up of snow and ice sheared a gas meter from the side of a house on E Street in South Portland Tuesday morning, fire officials said.
Unitil was repairing the problem, which caused a minor gas leak. Fire officials said no one was home at the time the leak was reported about 8:30 a.m. and there were no injuries or damage.
