Letter to the editor: Veteran is proud to recite the Pledge of Allegiance

I am a four-year U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and one of the many thousands of Maine veterans.

After being in foreign ports and returning to the good old USA, I would say to myself, “Thank God I’m an American and live in America.”

I will proudly say the Pledge of Allegiance for the rest of my life.
