It is time that church leaders and the people in Maine stand up to Gov. LePage and demand that General Assistance funds be provided to the people waiting for the federal government to process their paperwork so they can work.
To simply tell these men, women and children to starve is not acceptable.
For church leaders to turn a blind eye to this situation is not acceptable. Church leaders should be using their pulpits to encourage their members to action to demand the funding to feed, clothe, and provide shelter for these unfortunate people.
Shame on anyone who turns your back to the needs of these people.
