OLD TOWN — A family that lost everything in a fire in Old Town is familiar with that sinking feeling. It’s happened to them before.
Family members told WLBZ-TV that they lost everything in another house fire years ago and they can’t believe it’s happened again.
Old Town Fire Department officials say all nine people living in the home escaped without injury from the latest fire Thursday morning. Officials say the home is a total loss.
Fire officials believe the blaze started in garage or back area of the home. Disaster responders were on hand to ensure victims have food, clothing, emergency shelter and emotional support.
