BRUNSWICK

The 13th Annual Brunswick Garden Tour returns on Sunday, July 12.

All proceeds will go to the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program which serves lunch six days a week at their Soup Kitchen and provides boxes of food in their Food Pantry to families in need.

Tickets are now available at Hannaford in Brunswick, as well as Imperial Hosta, Gulf of Maine Books and the MCHPP office at 84A Union St.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 on the day of the tour.

The tour, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., includes 10 gardens.

All of the gardens are within a short drive from downtown Brunswick, and specific directions are included with the ticket.

“These gardens say a great deal about the resourcefulness of the people here in Maine and are a wonderful tribute to the town,” said Ron Carroll, chairman of the Garden Tour.

Whether in a limited space or an expansive one, every garden shows the creativity of its owner, according to Carroll.

This year will again include the Thomas Settlemire Community Garden where visitors can see 80 plots where local residents demonstrate their ingenuity in growing delicious vegetables in a small space.

On the day of the tour, tickets may be purchased at the Gazebo on the Mall, Maine Street, Brunswick. For more information, please call Ron Carroll at (207) 725–6558 or the office of the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program at (207) 725–2716. The rain date will be Sunday July 19.
