Sen. Angus King, George Mitchell and Ambassador Nicholas Burns got it right last week at the well-attended Maine World Affairs Council forum on the Iran nuclear agreement, hosted by the University of Southern Maine.

Each man explained clearly why he supports the agreement. You can see for yourself at www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUpSlD1tQ6g, starting at minute 16:40.

This agreement does not restrict U.S. options and prevents a war. Our wonderful state of Maine has sent too many of her sons and daughters off to fight in the Middle East. While some in that region encourage our sacrifice, this agreement helps stop it.

Secretary of State John Kerry did a very good job, along with the diplomats of Great Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China, in negotiating this agreement with Iran. Bravo!
