A multi-vehicle crash on the Maine Turnpike northbound was slowing traffic just before 3:30 p.m. Friday just as thousands of tourists pour into the state for the Labor Day weekend.

The crash happened between Exit 36 in Saco and Exit 42 in Scarborough, the Maine Turnpike Authority said.

There were no injuries.
