YORK — Sarah Thill scored on a penalty kick with two minutes left in regulation to help Kennebunk secure a 1-1 tie with York in a Western Maine Conference girls’ soccer match Saturday.

York (2-0-1) took the lead 16 minutes into the second half when Maddie Amidon fed Lindsey Cole.

York keeper Kelsey Cole made four saves. Kyra Schwartzman of Kennebunk (1-1-1) stopped 10 shots.

BRUNSWICK 3, MESSALONSKEE 1: Kira Wolpow scored twice to lead the Dragons (3-1) over the Eagles (3-1) at Oakland.

Jenna Brooks provided the third goal for Brunswick. McKenna Brodeur scored for Messalonskee.

Brunswick keeper Beth Labbe made 13 saves, while Messalonskee’s Taylor Easter stopped 14 shots.

SCARBOROUGH 3, BONNY EAGLE 0: Ashley Perriello scored twice in the second half and Gaby Panagakos added a goal and an assist as the Red Storm (2-0) pulled away from the Scots (2-1) in Standish.

Molly LeComte made six saves to earn the shutout. Bonny Eagle’s Sydney Gillingham stopped 13 shots.

CAPE ELIZABETH 3, YARMOUTH 0: Mariah Deschino scored the first of her three goals 15 minutes into the game, starting the Capers (2-1) on their way to a victory over the Clippers (1-2) in Yarmouth.

Deschino floated an 18-yard shot that barely eluded the goalie and dipped under the crossbar for the first goal. She added another goal later in the first half, and then scored again with three minutes left in the match.

Tess Goldstein made nine saves for the Capers. Yarmouth’s Lydia Guay stopped five shots.

GORHAM 5, SOUTH PORTLAND 1: Cady Houghton scored two goals for the Rams (3-0) in a win over the Red Riots (0-3) at Gorham.

Michelle Rowe, Meghan Perrin and Courtney Cushing also scored for the Rams, who led 1-0 at halftime.

Mary Cronin scored for the Red Riots with less than five minutes remaining.

Emma Smith finished with five saves for Gorham, while South Portland keeper Zoe Brown recorded nine saves.

DEERING 4, MCAULEY 0: Simone Lauture scored two goals and set up two more, and the Rams (2-1) scored all their goals in the first half against the visiting Lions (0-3).

Lauture opened the scoring four minutes into the match, getting the ball in the middle third and pushing it forward as the defense dropped back. She broke past the defensive line and beat McAuley goalie Chelsea Rairdon.

Lauture added another unassisted goal before assisting on goals by Meghana Clere and Ewa Varney.

Cassidy Coyne made seven saves for Deering. Rairdon finished with 16 saves.

FREEPORT 2, WELLS 1: Becca Cameron scored both goals for the Falcons (1-2) in a win over the Warriors (1-2) at Freeport.

Hannah Cottis netted the lone goal for Wells. All three goals were scored in the first half.

POLAND 1, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Nathalie Theriault scored from a scrum 10 minutes into the second half as the Knights (1-2) edged the Seagulls (0-4) at Old Orchard Beach.

Poland keeper Erin Brewer made eight saves, including a second-half penalty kick.

MT. ARARAT 2, CONY 1: Lauren Sturgess scored both goals for Mt. Ararat (3-0-1) in a win over Cony (0-4) at Augusta.

Autumn Sudsbury stopped 17 shots for Cony.

LEWISTON 2, LAWRENCE 0: Adela Kalilwa and Taylor Chamberlain scored goals for the Blue Devils (2-2).

Kayla Spencer had five saves for Lawrence (1-3).

WINSLOW 6, MCI 0: Calli Lavarnway scored off a feed from Maddy Morneault 14 seconds into the game, and the Black Raiders (2-0-1) cruised to a win over the Huskies (0-3) at Winslow.

Paige Smith had a pair of goals, and Sara Doughty, Lidia Santos and Paige Veilleux also scored.

BREWER 3, MT. BLUE 1: Hannah Laskey scored one goal and assisted on two others to help the Witches (3-1) down the Cougars (1-3) in Farmington.

Emily Lord and Mariah Low also scored for Brewer, and Mikayla Henderson finished with 12 saves.

Jocelyn Daggett scored off an assist from Ashley Burnham for Mt. Blue.

FIELD HOCKEY

MASSABESIC 5, PORTLAND 3: Emma Rutledge set up two goals and scored twice to lead the Mustangs (2-2) past the Bulldogs (2-2) at Portland.

Maggie Rodman added a pair of goals and Emma Desrochers started the scoring with an unassisted goal for the Mustangs, who led 4-1 at halftime.

Portland got two goals by Lauren McIntyre and one from Bridget Maloney.

FREEPORT 7, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Emily Randall and Lauren Schenker each scored twice to pace the Falcons (2-1) to a win over the visiting Seagulls (0-4).

Randall also set up one of Schenker’s goals. Alexa Koenig, Bailey Coffin and Kerry Lefebvre added a goal apiece.

GREELY 3, CAPE ELIZABETH 0: Danita Storey scored twice as the Rangers (1-3) beat the Capers (0-4) at Cape Elizabeth.

Meredith Dwyer provided the third goal.

MT. BLUE 3, CONY 0: Hannah Minns scored all three goals for the Cougars (2-3) in a win over the Rams (3-2) in Augusta.

Samantha Ellis had two assists and Leah St. Laurent set up the other goal. Erika McArthur made six saves for the shutout.

SKOWHEGAN 12, BANGOR 0: Cassidy Clement had five goals and two assists to lead the Indians (4-1) to a win over the Rams (0-4) in Skowhegan.

Maliea Kelso added three goals and an assist, and Lauren LeBlanc had two goals. Elizabeth York and Alyssa Salley scored a goal apiece.

VOLLEYBALL

YARMOUTH 3, SCARBOROUGH 2: The Clippers (4-0) rallied from four points down in the fourth game and cruised in the final game to beat the Red Storm (2-1) at Yarmouth, 24-26, 25-20, 18-25, 25-23, 15-6.

Alison Clark had 13 kills, and her sister, Liz, served four aces for Yarmouth. Heather Clark added 11 kills.

The Red Storm were led by Natalie Simonton with 10 kills, Jordyn Cowan with eight kills and Kacey Foerster with six kills.

GREELY 3, CONY 0: Sarah Agren and Alex Tebbs each finished with three aces and seven kills to help Greely (2-2) beat Cony (1-2) in straight sets at Cumberalnd, 25-11, 25-15, 25-16.

Claire Davis contributed seven kills, and Molly Chapin had an ace and four kills.
