SCARBOROUGH — Jake Kacer scored from Garrett King with five minutes remaining Thursday night to give Scarborough a 2-1 victory against South Portland in an SMAA schoolboy soccer game.

Sadiki Stewart gave South Portland (2-2) a 1-0 halftime lead from Khalid Suja.

Josh Morrissey answered when he was set up by Matt Caron early in the second half.

Riley Hasson stopped eight shots for the Red Riots. Cam Nigro had three saves for Scarborough (3-0-1).

BRUNSWICK 6, OXFORD HILLS 0: Keenan Welzel scored three goals as the Dragons (6-0) cruised by the Vikings (0-6) at South Paris.

J.D. Souza assisted on a pair of Welzel’s goals and added one of his own for Brunswick. Finn Woodroff and Henry Doherty also scored.

Jake Beauchesne stopped 12 shots for Oxford Hills. Josh Dorr and Owen Rudalevige combined for six saves for Brunswick.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 3, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 1: Jordan Kruguer had a goal and an assist to pace the Raiders (2-2) over North Yarmouth Academy (3-1) at Fryeburg.

Kruguer set up Oscar Flecha with the first goal for the Raiders, then a second goal off a Pablo Laca feed. Thomas Pitts scored a first-half goal for the Panthers. The Raiders made it 3-1 on a goal by Gunnar Gurnis from Nick Landano.

CHEVERUS 5, NOBLE 0: Will Peterson scored two goals as Cheverus (3-0-2) shut out Noble (0-5) at North Berwick.

Luke Dion finished with a goal and two assists, and Mackenzie Hoglund and Nik Hase also scored.

GORHAM 5, BONNY EAGLE 1: Jackson Fotter had a pair of goals, one in each half, and an assist for the Rams (3-0-1), who built a 2-0 halftime lead and pulled away from the Scots (1-2) at Gorham.

Nick Sturtevant scored in the first half from Fotter. Kyle King scored from Sam Burghardt and Cody Elliot added an unassisted goal for Gorham.

Ryan Moody had an unassisted goal for Bonny Eagle.

Trenton Bassingthwaite and Alex York of the Rams combined for three saves. Brady Grass had 10 for Bonny Eagle.

WELLS 4, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Liam Bell had a pair of goals and two assists as the Warriors (2-2-1) shut out the Hawks (1-3) at Wells.

Alex Pinette scored both first-half goals.

Cam Cyr stopped seven shots for Sacopee Valle. Nick Chandler needed only two saves for the shutout.

THORNTON ACADEMY 9, WINDHAM 3: Edwin Kayumba and Cam Twombly each scored twice for the Golden Trojans (4-0-1), who received goals from six players and rolled past the Eagles (1-4) at Saco.

Noah Niles, Ben Steva, Kevin Suefentes and Carlos Perez also scored for Thornton. Kayumba added a pair of assists.

Isaiah Connors, Gene Gumaer and Brandon Drouin scored for Windham.

PORTLAND 1, MARSHWOOD 0: Manny Yugu and Pavel Bobe combined to set up El-Shadai Ngandu for the only goal as the Bulldogs (3-0-2) nipped the Hawks (2-2-1) at South Berwick.

Sam Leathe had five saves for Marshwood. Bob Brittingham stopped four shots for the shutout.

MASSABESIC 2, WESTBROOK 1: Surafel Zunser scored on a penalty kick with 5:56 left as Massabesic (2-3) beat Westbrook (2-2-1) at Waterboro.

Zunser was awarded the kick after being pulled down on a breakaway 8 yards from the goal line.

The Mustangs gained the lead in the 32nd minute when Justin Crowley scored unassisted. Ahmed Hadi tied it in the 14th minute of the second half.

Joshua Castonguay had 12 saves on 22 shots for Massabesic.

DEERING 2, SANFORD 1: Paolo Demarco scored off a rebound late in the second half as Deering (2-2) beat the Spartans (1-3) at Sanford.

Landry Gapandwa gave the Rams the lead six minutes into the second half from Iessa Ramadan. The Spartans tied it when a corner kick from Patrick Morris was headed in by Mitch Duncan.

Demarco won it on a rebound after Sanford goalie Tylar Burgess knocked down a direct kick by Fernando Lopez-Pereira. Burgess finished with 18 saves for Sanford.
