The church will be offering the blessing of animals at the Farmer’s Market in Sanford on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to noon. A tradition in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, who loved all of God’s creatures, will include a blessing and some treats for dogs, cats, teddy bears, etc.
