SCARBOROUGH — Lily Nygren scored three unanswered goals as Scarborough rallied to beat Westbrook 3-1 in field hockey on Monday.

Delaney Derrig scored an unassisted goal to give Westbrook (4-5) an early 1-0 lead, but Nygren scored for Scarborough (8-1) to tie the game with an assist from Kristen Levesque as the teams went to halftime even.

Nygren got a feed from Rachel Paradis for the go-ahead goal and finished with an unassisted goal.

Kimmy Barlow stopped seven of 10 shots for the Blazes, and Alyssa Souza made five saves for the Red Storm.

YARMOUTH 5, CAPE ELIZABETH 1: Abby McDowell scored a pair of goals, one in each half, to lead the offense as the Clippers (9-0-1) handled the Capers (0-12) at Yarmouth.

Molly Wilson had a goal and an assist for Yarmouth, Emily Martin and Allie MacLeon each added a goal, and Eliza Lunt contributed a pair of assists.

Eden Divney stopped 12 shots for Cape Elizabeth, and Tory Messina and Eve Roth split time in net for the Clippers, combining for three saves.

GORHAM 1, BIDDEFORD 0: Isis Adams scored with 1:55 left as the Rams (3-7) slipped past Biddeford (3-6) in Gorham.

MARSHWOOD 4, DEERING 1: The Hawks (7-2-1) got a pair of goals from Melanie Dube as they cruised by the Rams (4-6) at South Berwick.

Hannah Costin had a goal and an assist, and Leah Glidden added a goal for Marshwood.

Kaytlin DiBiase scored for Deering.

Shannon Giblin stopped four shots for the Hawks; Lillian Frager made six saves for the Rams.

THORNTON ACADEMY 7, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Libby Pomerleau recorded a hat trick and added an assist as the Golden Trojans (7-2) rolled past the Red Riots (1-8) at South Portland.

Taylor Ouellette had a pair of second-half goals, Bella Robinson added a goal and an assist and Emma Dutremble rounded out the scoring.

Grace Chitam stopped 15 shots for South Portland, and Isabella Capozzi had five saves to record the shutout.

SANFORD 5, WINDHAM 1: Morgan Champagne had a goal in each half as the Spartans (7-1-1) dominated play against the Eagles (1-8) at Sanford.

Marissa Nance and Elizabeth Helmreich each had a goal and a pair of assists for Sanford, and Bridget Duckworth added a goal.

Hannah Skvorak scored an unassisted second-half goal for Windham.

Grace Sawyer stopped 22 shots for the Eagles, and Amber Singleton and Sarah Nickerson each recorded a save in shared time in goal for the Spartans.

YORK 5, FREEPORT 0: Lily Posternak scored three times in leading the Wildcats (10-0) past Freeport (3-6) in York.

Devon Datsis added a goal and an assist for York; Allie Jones also scored.

Julianna Kiklis and Julia Carr each had one save while sharing time in the York net. Morgan Karnes registered 19 saves for the Falcons.

TELSTAR 4, HALL-DALE 1: Becca Howard scored three goals and Octavia Morin added another to lead the Rebels in a Mountain Valley Conference game.

Blair Stevens had nine saves for Telstar (6-4).

Haley Houdlette scored for Hall-Dale (0-10).

GIRLS’ SOCCER

SCARBOROUGH 3, BIDDEFORD 0: Elise O’Reilly led the offense with a goal and an assist as the Red Storm (6-0-1) shut out the Tigers (1-6) at Scarborough.

O’Reilly’s first-half goal came on a corner with an assist from Gaby Panagakos. Jillian Ware added a goal just before halftime as she headed in a shot off an O’Reilly free kick.

Aly Atherton scored in the second half on a feed by Bryce Nitchman.

Anna Marie Seller and Abby O’Conner each saw time in net for Biddeford, combining for 12 saves, and Molly LeComte stopped four shots for the shutout.

TRAIP 3, WELLS 1: Emma Auclair sent a low shot from the middle of the box into the net to give Traip (6-3) a 2-1 halftime lead over the Warriors (2-6) in Wells.

Blanca Alonso extended the lead to 3-1 with a second-half penalty kick.

Sadie Humiston’s goal off Auclair’s corner kick put the Rangers ahead 1-0, but Delaney MacDonald countered for Wells to tie the match at 1-1.

BOYS’ SOCCER

GORHAM 6, MASSABESIC 0: Jackson Fotter scored three goals and Cody Elliott two in leading Gorham (6-0-1) past the Mustangs (2-6) in Waterboro.

Nolan Brown also scored for the Rams.

Gorham goalkeepers Trenton Bassingthwaite and Alex York combined for seven saves. Massabesic netminder Joshua Castonguay made 18 saves.

HALL-DALE 2, TELSTAR 1: The Bulldogs got a pair of first-half goals from Tyler Nadeau and Tyler Dubois on their way to a win over the Rebels in Bethel.

Nick Guoiu picked up an assist for Hall-Dale (5-0-2). Turner Wheeler stopped 27 shots for Telstar (3-5-1).

VOLLEYBALL

BONNY EAGLE 3, WELLS 1: After splitting the first two games, the Scots (6-2) pulled away and defeated the Warriors (2-6) at Wells.

Bonny Eagle won the first game 25-16 before falling in the second 15-25, regrouping to take the final two games by the scores of 25-7, 25-11.
