An armed man robbed the TD Bank branch at 1410 Congress St. in Portland on Saturday morning, police said.

The man entered the bank about 8:10 a.m. and aimed a handgun at the heads of a customer and two tellers while demanding cash, police said. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money and may have left the parking lot in a dark-colored sedan.

The robber is described as white man in his 40s or 50s, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11 inches tall, weighing 160 to 170 pounds and wearing blue jeans, a red hooded rain jacket and tan work boots. His face was covered by a white scarf with yellow, red and orange stripes.

Police asked that anyone with information about the robbery call them at 874-8575.
