Two Limerick men were charged this week in connection with a burglary at a Limerick apple orchard last summer after a tipster recognized them in photographs posted on the Facebook page of the York County Sheriff’s Office.

Ethan Gerry, 20, and Anthony Palmitessa, 22, were issued summonses earlier this week, York County Sheriff William King said in a statement Saturday.

Police said video surveillance at the Libby and Sons Apple Orchard captured the two as they burglarized the farm on July 27. Police retrieved two grainy photographs from the video recorder and put them on the Facebook page. A tipster identified the two men.

Both men were charged with burglary. Palmitessa is scheduled to appear Dec. 7 at York County Superior Court in Alfred and Gerry on Jan. 26 at Springvale District Court.
