I write to strongly endorse Wells Lyons for City Council, District 2.
Wells is a longtime resident of the West End and a small-business owner with a significant track record of community service.
Wells was an early and active leader in the successful effort to protect and revitalize Congress Square Park. His leadership demonstrates his ability to reflect the values of his district, his courage to stand up for what he believes in and his vision for the city that Portland has the potential to become.
Portland is experiencing exceptional growth and is at a tipping point. As councilor, Wells will make decisions based on thoughtful consideration and inspired vision.
He has the strength, creativity and independence to advocate for the values that will keep Portland unique, preserve our quality of life and make Portland competitive in the 21st century. Please join me for voting for Wells Lyons.
