Democrat Jean Noon is formally requesting a recount after losing the House District 19 race by 15 votes.
Republican Matthew Harrington came out the winner Tuesday night in the district that covers part of Sanford with 768 votes to 753 for Noon. An independent, Victor DiGregorio, collected 110 votes.
Noon is the widow of former state Rep. William Noon, who died on July 15 after battling cancer.
