OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Paul “P.J.” Donnell, 34, died from injuries he received in an automobile accident on Oct. 23, 2015, near his home in Las Vegas, Nevada .

P.J. was born in Waterville on Nov. 8, 1980. He grew up in Pittsfield before moving to Old Orchard Beach, where he graduated high school in 2000. Paul went on to graduate from UTI in Houston, Texas as an auto body technician.

Paul avidly enjoyed life, coaching baseball and snowboarding, which he shared with his children. He brought passion and inspiration to everything he did and everyone he met.

Paul is survived by: his mother and stepfather, Maria and Mike Farmer of Detroit, Maine; his father, Robert Johnson of Palm Springs, Florida; his brothers and sisters, Heather Neal and husband Galen of South China, Sheena McGahuey and husband Jesse of Detroit, Maine, Bobby Johnson and partner Rose Bowdoin of Old Orchard Beach, and Leanna Johnson and her mother Cathleen Belair of Lyman; his children and the loves of his life, Samantha, 14, and Keon, 13; as well as nephews, Landen, Galen, and Jerrick; niece, Haley; grandmothers, Joyce Donnell of Verona, and Geraldine Farmer of Norridgewock; as well as his countless friends and extended family across the country, especially his lifelong best friend, Joshua Fickett of Skowhegan/Methuen, Massachusetts.

Paul is preceded in death by: his grandfathers, Ray Donnell of Verona, and Lawrence Farmer of Norridgewock; grandmothers, Ione Donnell of Pittsfield, and Mary Hillman of Troy; and Uncle Danny Donnell of Colorado.

A celebration of life will be held on Nov. 15 at the Elks Lodge, 68 Ocean Park Road in Saco, at 11 a.m.
