CIA Café, located at 72 Ocean St. in South Portland, is holding its annual “Deck the Walls” holiday art show featuring the work of artists from YES Art Works studios.

A reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at CIA.

The original artwork and merchandise displayed at CIA was created by artists from YES Art Works studios, which supports and inspires artists with disabilities. The show includes custom T-shirts with fun phrases like, “Eat pizza not rocks,” and “I am the manicotti,” by artist Chris Honess. Ceramic mugs were created by artist Chris Jolly. Paintings are by Peter Brown. Another artist in the show is Deb Meservier, who created the hugely popular series, “For the Love of Lobster,” which includes plates, platters and holiday cards.

“It’s always a pleasure for me to meet and promote artists here at CIA,” said Jeannie Dunnigan, owner of the busy café in the city’s Knightville neighborhood. “But when Creative Work Systems arrives, you know it’s going to be fun and authentic. These humble and talented artists are not afraid to put their heart into their work, and it shows.”

The art will be for sale through the month. For more information, go to creativeworksystems.org or call CIA at 747-4414.
