GORHAM — Stephen Burns hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer in overtime to give Gorham a 57-56 win over previously undefeated Greely in a boys’ basketball game Friday night.

The game was close throughout in a matchup between the top-ranked team in Class AA South (Gorham) and the No. 1 team in Class A South.

Sam Kilborn paced Gorham (3-1) with 20 points. Jackson Fotter added 11 points, including three 3-pointers in the first half.

Matt McDevitt led Greely (4-1) with 21 points. Caleb Normandeau had 11 points and Ryan Twitchell finished with 10.

THORNTON ACADEMY 79, SANFORD 53: The Golden Trojans (5-0) had five players in double figures in a win over Sanford (1-4) at Saco.

Jack Tilley led Thornton with 17 points and seven assists. John Fogg added 13 points and eight rebounds, Rome Pura finished with 11 points, and Ben Lambert and David Keohan each scored 10.

Frank Veino and Brad Bouchard scored 15 points apiece for the Spartans.

SOUTH PORTLAND 78, NOBLE 33: The Red Riots (3-2) opened 20-4 lead in the first quarter and cruised to a win over the Knights (0-5) in South Portland.

Jack Fiorini paced South Portland with 13 points, followed by Matt Pelletier with 11 and Drew Abramson with 10.

Brandon Davis led Noble with 13 points.

MARSHWOOD 53, MORSE 48: Ryan O’Neil scored 16 of his 20 points in the second half to lead the Hawks (2-3) past the Shipbuilders (2-3) in Bath.

O’Neil also hit all four of his 3-pointers in the second half. Dawson Casey added 11 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals.

Keegan McDonough scored 16 points for Morse and Ayden Brillard finished with 15.

PORTLAND 85, LEWISTON 39: Terion Moss scored 20 points and dished out seven assists as the Bulldogs (4-0) routed the Blue Devils (1-4) in Lewiston.

Joe Esposito chipped in with 17 points and Charles Lyall collected 10 rebounds.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 60, NOKOMIS 39: Nicholas DePatsy scored 20 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out six assists to lead the Panthers (3-2) past the Warriors (2-3) in Waldoboro.

Cam Allaire also recorded a double-double, with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 58, NORTH HAVEN 30: Mason Jones scored 12 of his 23 points in the first quarter as the Lions (2-4) opened a 16-2 lead against the Hawks (0-7) in North Haven.

Killian Patterson added 11 points.

OCEANSIDE 63, LAWRENCE 54: Nick Mazurek had 20 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead the Mariners (5-0) in Rockport.

Mike Norton Jr. added 12 points.

Mason Cooper scored 23 points for Lawrence (2-3).

MESSALONSKEE 83, CAMDEN HILLS 47: Nathan Violette scored 33 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead the Eagles (3-2) to a win in Oakland.

James Lathrop added 28 points.

Camden Hills (1-4) was led by Gage Corson with 18 points.

BOOTHBAY 59, HALL-DALE 41: Austin Campbell had 20 points and 10 rebounds to spark the Seahawks (4-2) to a win over the Bulldogs (3-3) in Farmingdale.

Jacob Leonard added 16 points.

VALLEY 67, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 35: Cody Laweryson scored 21 points and Collin Miller added 12 to lead the Cavaliers (6-0) to a victory in Bingham.

Jet Archer and Skyler Archer each scored 10 points for Seacoast Christian.

BRUNSWICK 10, MT. ARARAT/LISBON/MORSE 4: Sophomore center Michael Deveaux had a career-high six points with two goals and four assists for Brunswick (3-2) in a rout of the Eagles (1-3) at Watson Arena.

Brunswick trailed 2-1 after one period but got three goals in the first three minutes of the second period to turn the game around. The Dragons broke in open with five unanswered goals in the third.

Tyler Halls scored all four goals for the Eagles.

EDWARD LITTLE 3, CAPE ELIZABETH 2: The Red Eddies (3-2) scored a pair of goals in a 1:25 span of the third period to break a 1-1 tie against the Capers (2-1-1) at Norway Savings Bank Arena.

Tyler Couture’s power-play goal 1:38 into the third gave the Red Eddies a 2-1. Max Giard made it 3-1.

EL’s Cam Audette scored in the first period. Cape’s Tim Corsello answered in the second period, and Alex Glidden notched a power-play goal in the third.
