It is gratifying to find out that Social Security apparently believes that the cost of living has remained constant in spite of rising taxes; the rising cost of education; the rising cost of food; the spendthrift sitting in the White House; the wife of same who needs a taxpayer-paid staff of 22 to the tune of just under $1.6 million; and this being just the tip of the iceberg.
Members of Congress get their yearly raise, which they morally, ethically and probably illegally voted for themselves.
But who cares? The feeling is “Let those old farts carry the load,” along with all the veterans the government doesn’t care about. All of us who fall into these categories are expendable – taking too long to die off so we can be written off the rolls.
What we worked for and paid for is now called “entitlement.” In other words, we are now being housed, fed and clothed by our benevolent government. Bull!!
