He was born Dec. 10, 1949, in Biddeford, a son of Marcel and Jeanne (Lebrun) Cote.
He was educated at St. Joseph’s School, and graduated from St. Louis High School in the Class of 1968.
On Aug. 27, 1971, he married Nancy A. Carrier at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford.
Mr. Cote had been employed locally at the Pepperell Mill for five years.
After his apprenticeship at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, he worked there for 28 years, retiring in 2002 due to illness.
Ron was a member of the St. Louis Alumni Association. He enjoyed sports, and had played high school football as well as volleyball and slow and fast pitch softball in local men’s leagues.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Caryn B. Cote, on May 3, 2015.
He is survived by: his wife of 44 years, Nancy A. Cote of Biddeford; a son, Christopher G. Cote of Biddeford; and four grandchildren, Noah, Kaden, Tristan, and Sophia.
Visiting hours are 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford.
A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11 a.m.
